Truth & Salvage Co. Share the Love and Announce Multiple Contest Winners
When Truth & Salvage Co. came to Creative Allies in search of an art nouveau-style tour poster design inspired by their song, “Rise Up,” they never anticipated the quality and variety of art they would receive. “Your art blows me away,” T&S’s Scott Kinnebrew writes to the contest entrants. “I know how much time goes into rendering an illustration. I know that each and every one of you spent multiples of hours on this project. I am very grateful.”
Accordingly, in addition to awarding one winning tour poster designer $300 and prizes, the band has selected three more designs to be sold as limited-edition posters in the Creative Allies Store and four designs to be recognized as Honorable Mentions. All eight designers will receive tickets to a Truth & Salvage show of their choice!

Y’all did such a good job with this contest! Your art blows me away! The little sapling tree suspending a massive upward turned arrow pointing to the sky (Rise Up)? The sun standing in a gothic realm with little trolls around his feet and the planets orbiting around his head (you followed contest guidelines!). The farmer standing astounded as pumpkins rise into a vortex in the sky, his posture belying his surprise. The sun holding up her pony tail — is that a manzanita tree? Absolute genius, people! I fancy myself an arteest, I fancy my wife who is an arteest, and I know how much time goes into rendering an illustration. I know that each and every one of you spent multiples of hours on this project. I am very grateful.
You made a fun job looking at art really hard for us. Being a six-man band, we love to debate, but deciding on a contest winner was a steep task. With so many options, the one piece that we chose unanimously was the rising purple lady from ranboh — the winner by democracy rule. Honestly and selfishly I want to use all of your artwork, and I plan to hold on to all your contact info. Art and music go hand in hand, and we will always be in need of artists who can translate our sound into a visual concept. We are going to need you in the future!
Thank you to all the contest participants, and to your friends and significant others who encourage you to the the bad ass artists you are!
Congratulations to ranboh for creating the winning poster design:
